Greco was founded in 1960 and were a popular electric guitar made in Japan from the 60's through the 80's. They were best known for their Gibson and Fender like replica guitar models and had grown in popularity over the years until the company founders, Kanda Shokai and Yamano Gakki, joined Fender Japan in 1982.
